Spring – A Time For Growth

Spring a time for change

Spring is the season of new growth, with those familiar signs of change. We begin to notice the glorious green leaves on the trees, the flowers blooming in an assortment of colours, the commotion of bird song reaching its peak.

The exposure to more sunlight and longer evenings increase the production of the hormone serotonin in our brains. making us feel happier. In so many ways spring can elevate our mood and make life a little easier. We may feel more optimistic, and open to change and new opportunities in our lives.

Coping With Many Demands

Like so many people, I juggle many roles! Clinical practitioner, business owner, mother, wife. It can be difficult to set aside time for personal and professional growth. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by all the things we want to achieve. I know this is a feeling shared by many of my clients.

Change is not easy, but almost always possible! To change requires effort and commitment. The longer I practise Solution Focused Hypnotherapy the more confidence I have in its effectiveness.
Client feedback is a great way to demonstrate this. One of my recent clients commented:

‘’My confidence now shines through in everything I do’’.

My “word of mouth” referrals have continued to grow and this is not just a huge compliment, but a fantastic way to determine that my clients have benefited from working with me. It is very reassuring to know that they are happy to refer their friends and family to me.

Following the Solution Focused Approach in Everything I Do!

I use my Solution Focused approach in my own business and personal life. Taking small steps and committing to finding solutions. The challenges of running a business are not so different from the challenges we face in our personal lives – the same anxiety when you encounter something new, something different that you’ve never faced before, something you’re really not sure how to deal with. I have learned that it’s not the events in our lives that create anxiety. It’s our response to those events. The attitude and thought processes that we adopt.

I am so pleased to share with you some personal news firstly:

  1. Last September I woke up with a plan to run a marathon! Although I enjoyed regular exercise I had never run before. I set my goal and chunked it down into small steps; it wasn’t always easy training four times a week in the winter months, but my focus was always on my goal. I was so delighted to complete my first marathon, the Brighton Marathon, last month.
  2. Some exciting business news. In the middle of all the marathon training, I made a big decision to create a new website for my Solution Focused Hypnotherapy business. This had been an unresolved goal for over a year, but the time had now come.

Thankfully, with the help of a small team, I have achieved this next step in my business and I hope you like the result.

I am looking forward to continuing my journey into a 4th year of business this spring. Continuing to learn new skills and continuing to help my clients to feel happier and to achieve their goals.
